Currently based in Barcelona, luz muerta started as a Los Angeles based project
Inspired by sustainability, together we create small batch collections and one off pieces. luz muerta is a project of self-reflection, a project that challenges its own format, motivated by feeling, learning, and growth.
Our brand ethics are a reflection of our personal ethics, in which we attempt to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns as an answer, to some of the negatives of our current fashion industry.
By creating minimalist basics we hope to create staple pieces that have a long shelf life. More often than not we as a society fall into the appeals that come with fast fashion. We fall quickly for micro trends that very quickly see the end of their time.
We believe our clothes provide interesting silhouettes that can stand alone, but can also serve various functions as layering pieces in your closet for years to come.
All of our items are made to order. luz muerta is two people. We design, pattern make, sew, package and everything in between. As far as transparency goes, we believe our prices reflect the work we put in to making each piece while still being fair to the consumer. We believe that in order to be sustainable it also has to be accessible, and we believe that our prices reflect that.
